The Beginnings of Cloverpups
Welcome to Cloverpups! They are a custom species created by Colonel over 10+ years ago!
Cloverpups were originally a species from Shantyland! They are actually descendants of another species called Cloverdiles. Through genetic manipulation and selective breeding, scientists "accidentally" developed this squishy, friendly, round version of the 'Dile and thus Cloverpups were born. This species is more prominent through-out the galaxy due to their cute looks and social nature, making them an instant hit wherever they go. Cloverpups are most commonly found on their own planet as they were considered too soft and domesticated for their origin planet of Shantyland.
Being a plant-based species, Cloverpups sprout from seeds that are left in areas that support growth. They grow 6 clovers across their bodies; one on the head, one on the tail, and four smaller clovers near their feet.

Guardian Cloverpups
However, not every Guardian is peaceful. Pictured to the right is Blackbeard, a Guardian Cloverpup who runs her own evil pirate brigade. There are quite a few Cloverpups that have taken to life at sea and a few of them are in continual feuds out on the open waters. These Guardians are still considered leaders to those who choose to follow and live under their protection.

Social Interactions
Cloverpups are a very social species and when you find one, you'll typically find at least one other pup! Most often you'll find that Cloverpups who sprout together, stay close together through their lives. They form tight-knit communities who rely on each other to get through this life. However, this is not always the case and there are Cloverpups who live in pairs or even in isolation. It's not safe for a Cloverpup to live in extreme isolation as the lack of social interactions can lead to the shriveling and/or loss of their clovers over time. Companionship from other species, or even inanimate objects, can help this social species from reaching such an extreme outcome.
